Hi!
My name is Leyna, and I create paintings based on the shapes and colors I see in music.
Mostly I focus on art inspired by music from the pop, rock,and folk genres dating from 1950 to 1999.
My goal with my work is to take those moments where visual art and music intersect and use them to reveal insights about universal human experiences that invite the viewer to pause and reflect on the wonder of being alive.
I am a self taught artist with Non Binocular Vision Disorder which causes me to have double vision, no depth perception and very limited peripheral vision. I also have dyspraxia, which affects my muscle tone, grip strength and overall motor coordination. It makes my style a little wonky, but leaning into these challenges gives me a unique, authentic artistic voice
Each original painting comes with a certificate of authenticity and a personal letter describing the themes behind the work.
